Online Sessions
I offer online sessions via Zoom video.
If you're thinking about trying online sessions with me but have worries about direct eye contact, we can explore this together. I encourage a collaborative relationship and finding creative ways that might make meeting with me online feel easier. This might include the invitation for you to move about or for me to sit at more of an angle to the screen. You're welcome to move about too, if your body wants to move I will support that and encourage you to do the same.
There are many benefits to accessing counselling sessions online:
- You aren't restricted to finding a counsellor who lives locally to you.
- Being in familiar surroundings may offer a sense of comfort and safety for you.
- Therapy sessions may become accessible for those who have a disability and/or illness that makes it difficult or not possible for them to leave home.
- Counselling sessions may fit around your working hours or other commitments more easily, making it easier for you to access counselling than if you needed to allow time to travel to and from your sessions. It also removes the cost of travel.
- You may already have tried face-to-face counselling and found that it wasn't a good fit for you. Counselling is an individual experience and what works for one person, may not work for another.
If you think you might be interested in meeting with me for online counselling, please do contact me to book your first session. I'd also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
